Privacy policy
We process personal data (hereinafter mostly referred to as “data”) only to the extent necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including its content and the services offered there.
Pursuant to Art. 4 No. 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter “GDPR”), “processing” means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
With the following privacy policy we inform you in particular about the nature, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we decide, alone or jointly with others, on the purposes and means of processing. We also inform you about third-party components we use for optimisation and to improve the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data under their own responsibility.
Our privacy policy is structured as follows:
I. Information about us as the controller
II. Rights of users and data subjects
III. Information on data processing

II. Rights of users and data subjects
With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right:
- to confirmation of whether data concerning them is being processed, to information about the data processed, to further information about the data processing and to copies of the data (see also Art. 15 GDPR);
- to rectification or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data (see also Art. 16 GDPR);
- to immediate erasure of data concerning them (see also Art. 17 GDPR) or, alternatively, insofar as further processing is necessary pursuant to Art. 17(3) GDPR, to restriction of processing in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR;
- to receive the data concerning them and provided by them and to have this data transmitted to other providers/controllers (see also Art. 20 GDPR);
- to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority if they believe that data concerning them is being processed by the provider in breach of data protection law (see also Art. 77 GDPR).
In addition, the provider is obliged to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed by the provider of any rectification or erasure of data or restriction of processing carried out on the basis of Articles 16, 17(1) and 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Notwithstanding this, the user has a right to information about these recipients.
Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
Users and data subjects also have the right under Art. 21 GDPR to object to future processing of data concerning them, insofar as the data is processed by the provider on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct marketing is permissible.
III. Information on data processing
Your data processed when using our website will be erased or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, erasure is not prevented by statutory retention obligations and no other information on individual processing procedures is given below.
Hosting
Our website is operated on servers of dogado GmbH, Antonio-Segni-Straße 11, 44263 Dortmund, Germany, in data centres located in Germany.
So that the website can be delivered securely and efficiently, dogado processes technical access data on our behalf (e.g. IP address, browser type, time of access, page accessed) in server log files. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with dogado.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in the secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offering pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Web analytics with Matomo (self-hosted, without cookies)
We use the open-source software Matomo for web analytics on this website. Matomo runs exclusively on our own web space at dogado GmbH in Germany. The data collected remains there and is not passed on to third parties.
Matomo is configured so that no cookies are set and no information is stored on or read from your device. Browser feature detection (plug-ins, screen resolution, details of device and operating system version) is switched off as well. Beyond that, the analytics script transmits only the address and title of the page accessed and the referring page; load times and your device's clock time are not collected. The following is recorded: the IP address truncated by its last two bytes (for example 192.168.xxx.xxx), the page accessed, the referring page or campaign parameters from the address accessed, date and time, browser type, operating system and language setting. Browser type, operating system and language setting are taken by the server from the headers your browser sends with every page request anyway. From the truncated IP address, the browser identification (user agent) and the language setting Matomo forms a day-specific identifier to group the page views of one visit. This identifier cannot be traced back to you and is discarded daily. No merging with other data and no identification of individual persons takes place.
The purpose of the processing is to evaluate the reach of our website and the effectiveness of our advertising measures, such as campaigns on LinkedIn, and to improve the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. For web analytics, no information is stored on or read from your device; consent under § 25(1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) is therefore not required. The only item stored on your device, the opt-out record, is set solely at your request and is permitted without consent under § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (see Objection).
Raw data is deleted after 90 days. We retain aggregated reports without personal reference beyond that.
Objection: you can object to the collection at any time. An informal objection to the contact details given above is possible; however, as we cannot identify you in the analytics data, it can technically only be implemented by one of the two following means, to which we will then refer you.
- Opt-out on this page: untick the box below. This sets a cookie named “mtm_consent_removed” on your device whose only content is the time of your objection (valid for 30 years). This cookie is required so that we recognise your objection on subsequent visits; it is set solely at your explicit request. The legal basis for storing it is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary for a service you have explicitly requested), and for processing the record Art. 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Art. 21 GDPR (our obligation to honour your objection). Ticking the box again is not a consent but withdraws your objection; collection then resumes on the basis of our legitimate interest. If you delete your cookies or use a different browser or device, you will need to object again.
- “Do Not Track”: if your browser sends this setting, we do not record your visit, regardless of the opt-out. Not all browsers still offer this setting.
Cookies and storage on your device
This website does not set cookies and does not store any information on your device. The only exception is the opt-out record for web analytics (see above): it is set only if you explicitly object via the opt-out, and its only content is the time of your objection. That is why there is no cookie banner. Fonts, images and videos are loaded from our own server; no third-party content is embedded.
Contact requests / contact options
If you contact us via the demo form or by e-mail, we process the data you provide (name, company, e-mail address, optionally phone, position and your request) in order to handle your enquiry. The form runs on our own server at dogado GmbH; the details are transmitted as an e-mail to hallo@qvnow.de and stored there. No third-party services are involved.
If you reached the website via one of our advertising links (for example from a LinkedIn campaign), the address contains campaign parameters. These parameters are transmitted with your request so that we know through which measure you found us. They contain no information about you as a person.
To protect against automated spam submissions, the server checks whether the form was completed by a human (hidden control field, minimum completion time) and limits the number of requests per sender. For this purpose, a check value formed from your IP address, a server-side secret and the current date is stored for one hour. The IP address itself is not stored.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries, in measuring the success of our advertising measures and in protection against misuse). We delete your enquiry once it has been finally dealt with and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.
Contract processing
The data you transmit in order to make use of our range of goods and/or services is processed by us for the purpose of contract processing. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We delete the data after contract processing, observing retention periods under tax and commercial law.
